A living material, made to last with a little care
Every print is made on a real leaf, not synthetic paper or canvas, which means it behaves like one. I take real steps to protect each piece, and there's a little you can do too, to help it stay vivid for years to come.
What I do to protect it
Every print goes through a multi-step preservation process before it ever reaches you.
A copper sulfate bath to help set and stabilize the color in the leaf.
Pressing and drying to remove moisture that could cause mold or warping.
A wax seal to protect the surface from air and humidity.
Framing behind glass or acrylic for an added layer of protection from light and dust.
How to care for it at home
A few simple habits go a long way in keeping your print looking its best.
Keep it out of direct sunlight. UV exposure is the biggest cause of fading over time.
Avoid humid spaces like bathrooms or areas near steam, which can affect the leaf and wax seal.
Dust the frame gently with a dry cloth rather than cleaning sprays directly on the glass.
Avoid hanging it somewhere with major temperature swings, like near a heater or an exterior wall..
